When Guiding Charter Trips I use only the Finest of Fly Rods, Reels, Line, and Flies. You may bring your own equipment if you please. On All of My Charters, including my Fly Fishing Charters I provide Top-of-the-Line Rods, Reels, Line, and Flies. So If you can not bring you favorite Rod and Reel with you be assurred that I will provide you with well maintained top grade tackle.
All of the Fly Tippets that I tie for my charter clients are tied under the International Game Fish Association World Record Rules so that If one of my clients catches a potential Fly Rod World Record then the catch will qualify for a World Record Under the International Game Fish Association World Record Rules.
I and my charter clients have set 28 Adult Certified International Game Fish Association World Records on the the West Coast of Florida. Seven of these World Records are Fly Rod World Records on 2 to 20 pound Tippet Class. One of these World Records is Also a Current Florida State Record.
Five of the Fly Rod World Records recorded from My Boat were caught on Flies that I tied. It is a great feeling to tie a fly and then catch a Fly Tippet Class World Record on that Fly.
Many of the Flies, but not all, that you will use on your Fly Fishing Charter will be hand tied by me a Multiple World Record Fly Tier.

Frank Sargeant, Tampa Tribune Outdoors Editor, in his "Kingfish Book" Chaper 11 "Flyfishing for Kings" says: "Captain James Wisner of Tampa, Florida, has made something of a science of landing fish on tackle ill-suited to catching them. He's held many IGFA line class records over the last decade. And he has figured out a reasonably effective way of getting your fingers busted with the handle of a flyreel, for those that just have to tangle with a king on the long (fly) rod."
